Over 100 goals hit the net during the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Jordan 2016 and, as anyone who followed the tournament will testify, there was quality to match the quantity.

Starlets such as Deyna Castellanos, Saori Takarada, Sarah Abu Sabbah and Ri Hae-Yon all produced wonderful efforts, and it was no easy task to whittle them down to a final ten from which you, the FIFA.com users, could select your favourite.

But after tens of thousands of votes were cast, a clear winner emerged, with Castellanos – whose other shortlisted strike finished second in the poll – taking the title thanks to her audacious, last-gasp winner from the halfway line against Cameroon.
